Dr. Anya Sharma's journey in medicine began not with a fascination for cosmetic procedures, but with a deep curiosity about the relationship between how people look and how they feel about themselves. As a dermatology resident at AIIMS, she observed that the patients who struggled most were rarely those with the most complex medical conditions — they were those who had quietly lost confidence in their own appearance.

This observation became a conviction. After completing her MD, she pursued a Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine in London, studying under practitioners at the forefront of the field. She returned to Hyderabad with a methodology that is equal parts clinical rigour and patient empathy.

At Aura Aesthetics, Dr. Sharma personally conducts every initial consultation. There are no assistants performing assessments on her behalf, no treatment plans created without her direct involvement. The relationship between clinician and patient is, in her view, the most important ingredient in any successful outcome.

Her practice is intentionally small. Aura sees a carefully managed number of clients per week — not because of capacity constraints, but because Dr. Sharma believes that quality of attention cannot be scaled. Each client receives the same unhurried consideration that she would want for herself.
